Hi, I’m Tommy Divel, owner of Grande Optics.

In 2012, I opened Grande Optics. After nearly 30 years of working in optical shops from Aspen to L.A., I decided to open a store that offered clients quality eyewear at affordable prices, (without going to Aspen or L.A!).

But that’s not the whole story.

I left Glenwood Springs, Colorado in 2009 after working over ten years at 20/20 and then the Roaring Fork Eye Clinic. I needed a break from the industry.

I took a brief sabbatical from it. I worked in the field of anthropology in East Africa, Malaysia, and Wyoming.

But I missed both the mountains and the lifestyle, so I returned to Glenwood Springs.

And that’s how Grande Optics was created.

We are constantly working with frame vendors and optical lens companies trying to maintain an inventory that satisfies an eclectic clientele. From the sportiest to the Avant-garde, you will find something that fits your lifestyle.

Come by. We highly recommend an appointment. It will afford the one to one service that sets us apart from the others. Of course, bring friends or family along. Walk-ins are welcome, too. You may have to wait. We prefer to help one client at a time!
